Dr. Haleo and the Vision Therapy Center of Charlotte concentrate clinical care to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and management of children and adults who struggle with academic success, executive function and the visual-spatial problems associated with learning, learning disabilities, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, strokes, head injuries, neurological insults and age related, macular degeneration.

At the Vision Therapy Center of Charlotte we strive to give excellent care. Vision Therapy Center of Charlotte offers the following services:

  • Treatment for Learning-related Vision Problems.
    ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Problems with Reading, Writing, Homework, Copying or Tracking Problems.

  • Treatment for Binocular Vision Conditions.
    Amblyopia or Lazy Eye, Convergence Insufficiency (near vision disorder), Diplopia (double vision), Lack of Stereopsis (two-eyed depth perception), and Strabismus (cross-eyed, wandering eye, and eye turns).

  • Visual Rehabilitation for Special Populations.
    Patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries, Stroke, Whiplash, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Macular Degeneration. A significant number of patients with Brain Injury will present with signs and symptoms which indicate a vision problem. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

Reduced ability to sustain Head tilts or turns attention on visual tasks
Dizziness Bumping into objects
Headaches Abnormal posture
Eye strain Balance and coordination problems

Difficulty reading Reduced ability to accurately localize objects
  • Treatment for Stress-related Visual Problems.
    Blurred Vision, Visual Stress from Reading and Computers, Eye Strain Headaches, and/or Vision-induced Stomachaches or Motion Sickness.

  • Sports Vision Evaluations/Enhancement Programs.
    Dr. Haleo and the Sports Vision Center of Charlotte offer Sports Specific Vision Enhancement Programs for athletic enthusiasts of all ages who wish to improve their sports performance. Whether you’re an amateur, weekend warrior, professional or aspiring professional we have a program to help you. Dr. Haleo has worked with athletes at all levels in a variety of sports including Golf, Tennis, Soccer, Baseball, Hunting, Car Racing, Basketball, Football, Figure Skating and Alpine Skiing. Athletes who are struggling with sports performance also benefit from sport-specific therapies designed to correct vision issues that are impacting throwing, catching, putting, or hitting.
